Finding the right carrier(s) can be very confusing, but I agree with others that you should try on a variety of them.  Also, when you buy, try to buy from a store like Diapers.com, where they have a generous 365-day return policy and offer no shipping costs on returns.

I have the Moby and the ERGO Performance.  At first, my daughter didn’t love either of them.  But as I wore her more and more, she got more comfortable in them.  She really likes the ERGO.  Almost every time I wear her in it, she falls asleep.  Another reason why I like the ERGO is that, unlike the Bjorn, you can wear the ERGO on your back when your baby gets bigger.

The Moby is comfortable and fun and offers a lot of different “holds.”  I need to train her a little more on that one now that she’s a little bigger.

Good luck!

Of all of the baby products out there, the one that I have heard friends speak the most passionately about is the Ergo.  All of our friends who have it absolutely swear by it, and they started telling us well before I was pregnant that this is a product that we must have once we have kids.  Needless to say, the Ergo Performance is on our registry.  (We went with the Performance model b/c we do a lot of hiking and outdoorsy stuff, and we envision taking the baby along…)
