Elrodien :  you should be okay being *that person*- that’s your job as a parent.

Not every professional is good at their job, but even if they are, they’re not looking out for your kid, don’t know your kid’s quirks — so you shouldn’t feel guilty at all.

Go with your gut Mama. Even if they (medics) know what they are doing. Even if they just wanted to get it over, you and your babe will both feel better. 

I can’t relate to this exactly as we declined the rotovirus but a couple of times I’ve wanted to follow my gut but didn’t. Now I just unapologetically do what my baby needs me to do. 

Its all okay and as you’re reflecting on this, you’ll probably feel braver to intervene and/or ask for clear ecolaimations before you decide anything should you feel this instinct again.
