Baby Clothes: What to do with it?

Most of Addie’s girl clothes I boxed up and loaned to a friend whose baby girl is almost exactly a year younger than Addie.  I told her to just throw out anything that becomes stained, torn, etc… and she told me she’d add all her daughter’s outgrown clothes into the box to pass on to the next person.  My mom has a really bad habit of buying more cltohes for Addie than she can possibly wear, so all of my least favorite girl clothes I trade on for new clothes.  Anything gender neutral I boxed up and put into the attic for our next baby.  I figure, if the next baby is a girl, I can get my old box back, and one of our other friends is giving me all of her son’s old clothes, so we’ll also be set in case we have a boy.

I love the idea of a quilt, but I just can’t bring myself to do it.  The majority of Addie’s “special” outfits are dresses my mom and grandma made.  I would love to pass those down to my children someday.
