I have wanted to be a mommy for as long as I can remember. With my wedding just a month away the baby fever is worse than EVER! Fiance and I decided we should wait a year after marriage and take some time to ourselves, travel, etc before we dedicate our lives to children. While I know that’s (probably) the right decision, it’s such a long time! We have the means, the space, the time (I am a housewife… well, almost, still a house-fiance lol!)
How long did you wait and what factors helped you decide?

We’re planning on TTC in winter 2012/2013. I have some female issues, so it’ll probably take a year or better to get pregnant :/ (if it even happens)
This will be right after the wedding, he’ll be 31 and I’ll be 26… Age and my issues are the reasons we’re planning on trying so soon after marriage.. The older I get, the harder it’ll be and he’s starting to feel the “holy cow, I’m going to be 30!” and wants to try earlier, but I said no way before the wedding.
So I too am going to enjoy the next 2-3 years of my baby-less life and take naps when I want, enjoy the peace and quiet, and do everything WE want to do whenever we want to do it 😉

Thats a great attitude! 🙂 I try to tell myself that all the time: enjoying sleeping through the night, being able to up and go on a whim, yadda yadda, I just can’t stop the fever lol!
Best of luck to you when you are ready to start trying!
