I have baby fever and I’m only 20! I adore children and my fiance wants to have them too. We’re getting married next year but we are planning to wait about 5-6 years. That’s our hope anyways. It seems like forever to me! But like cinemaparadiso said we also want to get financially prepared and settled. We still prefer sleep! And it makes sense since I will be in school for awhile. At least I’m not the only one!

We were 28 & 30 when we got engaged, so I’d say it has been around for awhile. If it weren’t for a vitamin deficiency & a December graduation date, we’d be trying already, but we are waiting 9-10 mos after the wedding to TTC.

Everyone is waiting for an announcement any day now, but we aren’t planning on trying until early 2010 at the very earliest. I want to be more healthy and we both want to be a little more financially stable before we take on that big of a responsibility. That being said, I seriously want to snatch babies every time I see them! I never understood the whole “biological clock” until now. I can’t wait!

Mine kicked in when his nephew was born the week before the wedding. Anytime I know someone who has a baby, it comes on full force! The great thing is that the mister has been on board for a while.. Maybe in the near future 🙂

Baby fever is just waiting in the wings until the wedding fever subsides! A few months until the wedding and honeymoon and then we’ll see what happens. I’m 32 so there won’t be much waiting around! Fortunately we’re both on the same page when it comes to this so hopefully by the end of 2010 we’ll be expecting…I’m already saying my prayers!

I got married August 22, 2009 and we are expecting our first child at the end of April 2010!!! I’m pregnant!!!!
@MonaLisa hopefully you won’t be planning the “accident”, it should be a decision the both of you make together. I know too many of my girlfriends who actually planned for an accident….

We both already have it! We have talked about August/September starting to try and the wedding is March. We won’t be waiting long!

Well, we bought a house in May and it hit me pretty hard then! I think it has waned a bit now, but it’s still there. I think buying a house with my soon to be husband was the culprit, I can definately see little feet running through that house one day:
We have talked about the baby thing and have decided to wait about 5 years after we get married to have kids. I know that waiting that long will be a good thing, but it will be tough. If we go by the 5 year plan I will be 30 and he will be 31 when we start trying.

@pacos we are date twins!
@jaylii9 You don’t sound convinced on the 5 year thing. As someone who is turning 30 this month, I wish I started earlier, but that just didn’t work out for me w/ finding the right man + grad school. Maybe you and your hubby can decide to table it for awhile but talk about it *before 4-5 years from now.

So my hubby has been saying “3 more years” and we’ll have kids for some time now. He knows I have baby fever though. I’ve even named them: Mark for the boy and Kameron for the girl.
Well last night, we were watching tv, and out of the blue he goes “If we have a girl, maybe we should name her Carmen instead. I really like that name, what do you think?”
I just thought it was the cutest thing ever and I totally called him out for thinking about babies and for once I didn’t start it!

I had baby fever years ago..now i am the opposite i do not want kids for a LONGGG time and he believes we got to wait till we have financial stability:)
However i ADORE kids (mainly little girls cs they r to me little princesses) and when we c them around and they love me back i can c HE really wants kids and for a moment there i do to..then my logical side kicks in…
I think having kids is the ONLY time our age difference becomes painful…he does not want to be an old dad and i want to finish MD school..start a career and not be a young mother while doing all that 🙂

Baby fever kicked in before the wedding when I found out my sister is expecting… but I think her baby will be good practice for me, and help subside the fever.
However, when I found out hubby has to go back to school for an extra year (maybe 2), I realized I cannot wait 6 more years. I’m in the process of paying of my student loan, determined to have it paid off by the end of this year, and then I’m going to start saving up. I think we’ll still wait another 3 or 4 years, but I don’t think I can last much longer than that. The fever is going strong!
