@brideatbeach: lol I haven’t had anyone ask yet. I even have the nursery deco planned out and we have and empty room in our house ready to go but we arent even trying till October and we are currently not NTNT so I can’t have an opps. This will be my second baby. I have a 3 year old but he was an opps so waiting to start trying is so hard because this time I really really want another baby. With my son it was a shock and I wasn’t fully ready.

I haven’t actually bought anything, but I’ve been reallyyyy tempted. When I see something I really like I try and buy it for my nieces and nephews instead. Damn baby fever!

@brideatbeach: Haha, if you’re not visibly, undeniably pregnant I hope most cashiers at places that sell baby stuff would know not to ask!  It could just as easily be a shower gift of something, and then that’s just awkward.

We’ve been TTC for six months now, and I’ve yet to purchase anything for ourselves, but I’ll definitely browse a little extra when I actually pick out gifts for others.

my Future Mother-In-Law has several totes full of baby clothes, blankets, etc. for when her sons have kids. It freaked me out when we first started dating because it made me feel like “oh god, she’s one of those crazy mamas who is gonna try to push us to give her some grandbabies immediately.” But now I just look at it as free stuff that we’ll need for our future kids.

I want to start buying stuff myself (we have baby fever, too) but we have way too many nosey people in our lives that would jump to conclusions.

@brideatbeach: No, I would be completely mortified.  Whatever outfit I happened to be wearing that day would probably end up in the “never wear again” pile if somebody thought I was pregnant!

@brideatbeach: I did that when I was this my ex.  It was stupid now that I look back on it.  I say that because of my situation though.

@SapphireSun: haha! Them asking you if you’re pregnant may have nothing to do with what you look like. Lots of people start buying stuff for baby before they’re even showing. But I probably would be mortified too since I’m not a skinny mini to begin with & my self esteem isn’t the best. lol

I have baby fever, but I don’t buy things. I don’t want to jinx things whenever Darling Husband and I start TTC – I feel like I’m going to have a hard time as it is because of my Endo.

I’ve done this, but it was years ago.  I think I was just hormonal, haha.  I do browse the baby stuff more often these days, though!  Usually because I’m buying something for a shower, but that’s not the only thing on my mind. πŸ™‚
