My husband and I got married in March of 2014. Our plan originally was to wait until we had been married for two years before TTC. I recent convinced him to at least start trying in October! Lately all I can think of is having a baby! My husband is the very thoughtful one in the relationship. He likes to plan everything out before we do anytging. I am the type of person that just acts without thinking. Anyway, I guess my question is how many people had baby fever this bad and what did you do to suppress it a little until it was time to TTC?

MrsAlvey: I have baby fever, and I know Darling Husband does too but he won’t admit it (i’ve seen the way he looks at other peoples babies, he loves kids). He really wants us to be in a house before we start TTC, I want to be done with having kids by 35…I’ll be 32 in March (we were married last year) we gotta hurry this up!
I have no advice – waiting is hard!

It is hard! We just bought a house in October and we adopted a puppy in April! I’m just ready!

MrsAlvey: it’s so hard, if I knew how to get rid of the baby fever I would! I couldn’t get it out of my head and now in the 1st month TTC I am going even more crazy, posted about 5 times in a week on the TTC board just so hard. Funny because I work full time, see friends, have hobbies, work out etc so all the things you are meant to do to distract yourself but can’t quite push it to the back of my mind! Good luck though, and the puppy is very exciting!

My best way of dealing is distraction. We plan lots of dates and activities to enjoy things that I won’t be able to enjoy once I’m pregnant (sushi, roller coasters, wine tastings, etc.). I’ve also started working out and making fitness goals for myself to achieve in the mean time, as well as weight loss goals. And we’ve set some savings goals to help offset the high cost of TTC for us (IVF). We have a lot of things we can enjoy and achieve while we wait for our right time. Our goal is to make the most of every day that we have because life is too short and too beautiful to waste away the days pining for what we cannot have right now.

I am having a slight case of baby fever! I think it is because my Future Sister-In-Law is preggers. I am just trying to enjoy the stage my Fiance are in now, but of course looking forward to that stage of our lives! 🙂

We start TTC next cycle and I am like a MADWOMAN for the babies. I went years thinking I would never have kids so this new development is very surprising.
We’re moving to another state next month (I know, crappy timing) and I am hoping that everything going on will take my mind off it.
