I have my niece as the flower girl. She is going to have just turned 1 when I get married in 2 weeks. I know it is traditional for the flower girl to come out right before the bride. However, I am nervous as to how she will act the day of the wedding. She is going to be pulled in a wagon. I’m giving her a basket and petals, but I’m sure none will make it to the aisle. Anyway, instead of having her come out before me, I was thinking of having her wheeled out first before any of the bridesmaids. (Her mom is wheeling her and she is not in the bridal party). Please help!

I think that would work fine. I did just see an episode of 4 weddings where the flower girl wasn’t walking age and was pulled by her mother in a wagon. She came out right before the bride, and that looked good too. I think either way it will be adorable!

There’s really not much you can do to predict how a baby that little will behave. It’s definitely a risk. My only advice would be to try to make sure she gets enough sleep and is rested. That’s one thing that can really make a difference!

thank you! I’ll probably see how she is that day and maybe play it by ear. If she is good, she’ll come out before me. If not, she’ll go down first! 🙂

At the last wedding I was at the wagon still came out right before the bride and the mom was pulling the wagon, but I do like your suggestion of checking her mood first, I would never have thought of that.
