Husband and I are expecting #2. We don’t know the sex yet but already have decided on a boy’s name. I think we have also finally agreed on a girl’s name as well. Before we commit too much to it I want to make sure it’s not a super popular/trendy name right now. Do you guys know a lot of little gals with this first name?
Name: Noelle Elizabeth
Also thinking we might use a nickname with it like “Nelly.” My daughter is Virginia and we call her Ginny.

I think it’s a beautiful name. I know quite a few Elizabeths but I can’t think of any Noelle’s.
I’d probably use Elle or Elly as a nickname – but that’s just personal choice 🙂

Love the name and the nickname! If DS was a girl we were going to name him Eleanor with the nickname Nell, because I’m not a fan of Elle/Ellie.

awww, thats such a beautiful name, a friend of mine daughter is called Noelle and most of our friends refer to her as Noel.

Noelle is a lovely name , so is Virginia. I don’t care for Nelly (or Ginny really ) as short versions. The original names are so nice and graceful in themselves it is pity to replace them with slightly jokey sounding nicknames.
If it must be shortened , Elle is much better imho.

Her cousin’s name is Ella so we probably won’t use that nickname. We are big on nicknames though. I feel like the nicknames don’t really solidify until they are actually here so I’m not gonna worry too much about that yet. We pretty much call my daughter “goose” most of the time anyway haha! But we so use her full name often.

When are you due? The only ‘negative’ is that Noelle is a Christmas name (French for Christmas Noel – pronounced Noelle)

I know of two Noelles after 3 years of working with kids and daycares, so I don’t think it’s that trendy! 🙂
