So my new husband told me this morning he has the baby itch and wouldn’t mind trying for a kid…or if it happens thats great.
We live in a 1 bedroom condo that is 850 sq.ft….open concept type.
I really had this vision of myself painting the nursery and getting it ready…but realistically if we got pregnant tomorrow that means we would have to list our condo, sell it, then buy a new place, move into new place and then decorate babies room…all within say 8 months…while both working full time jobs.
My husband said “or we start the process, have the kid and when they is a few months old we are moving” to increase the timeline.
What do you bees think? Anyone ever have a baby in a 1 bedroom and deal with it or move? Was it ok or awful?

I haven’t done it BUT my parents did it with me! They didn’t get a place with more bedrooms until I was 12 months old. I see people do it all the time here in NYC – they have the baby, THEN they reevaluate their apartment situation.

@missjewels: yes it’s not easy, I’d suggest waiting until u sell to ttc just so there’s not too much stress. But yes it’s possible

@missjewels: Fiance and I are going to be moving into his condo (thats being rented right now) shortly before our wedding. We’re going to start to TTC as soon as we’re married. We’re planning on staying in the condo as long as we can. We’ll probably be there for at least a year after we have a baby. FI’s condo is in a low rise building (9 Floors) and its about 725 sqft. with a 90 sqft balcony. The bedroom is massive and can easily fit my full bedroom set + a crib.
We’ve already thought this out.. Before it was rented to his current tenants, we measured everything, to make sure we could fit everything + baby stuff into the bedroom lol
