I just found out last night that my little cousin (who is actually 25, so not so little) is having a baby in May with his new wife. I haven’t really had the baby fever because most of my friends are just married, recently married, or about to be married. Hence the reason for my “wedding fever” though. But…I am the oldest of 7 grandchildren, and this new baby will be the 5th great-grandchild. 🙁 So, it got me thinking last night that even IF I were to get married next year, the SO and I talked about the summer 2014 being a good time to “start” trying for a family. Well, that means I wouldn’t technically have a baby until 2015 (assuming I get pregnant right away). I don’t know why…but that just seems like a loooong time away.
And the fact that I don’t even know for sure when I’m getting married make it all seem even further away. 🙁 I want to get married to my SO already! At the very least, I want to know when we are getting married…which requires that proposal. After 9 years, I don’t know why we have to wait any longer.
Is anyone else feeling the baby fever on TOP of the wedding fever??

Hello! I am engaged and have baby fever, but it has to wait a few years 🙁 I’ve always wanted kids, but I started working at a daycare in August and it has gone through the roof! But I’m still in college and there will be no baby making until I have job. Haha. So we’re thinking about trying around 2014, too and it does seem really far away!! Ahhh!! Good luck!

We’re in the same boat over here. Both my FH and I are feeling the itch but we also both agree we want to be married for a year before we start trying. Pretty sure I will have no trouble getting pregnant right away based on our histories (both of us have proof of babymaking abilities) so I figure we’re looking at a late 2015 or early 2016 baby.

OMG so badly!!! I’m thinking I will go off the pill after our wedding, but who knows when “it” will really happen. The worst part is that I walk past a preschool every single morning on my way to work. I just want to run in and hug them!!

SO and I both have baby fever! Bad! Way worse than my Wedding Fever. We are always talking about how much we are going to love those kids and how our parents will be such great grandparents, how we will get ‘pay back’ for things we did as kids… It’s ridiculous how much we discuss this. The plan is marry next year and get a puppy to hold us over. He will finish grad school in two and a half years and we want to start trying as soon as he has a job lined up (I’ll be 28 by then). But we are a little crazy and want 4 or 5, so time is valuable!
