I thought babies were supposed to slow down as you get in to the 30 weeks because they start getting cramped for space in there?
…..my little guy has been more active the last couple days then ever! It’s wonderful to feel, but he’s been pretty calm and quiet this whole time, suddenly he’s doing gymnastics in there!

@Sunshine09: I think it isn’t until the very last few weeks that they get really cramped for space and seem to not move as much, although I’ve also heard that it itsn’t really a “decrease” in movement frequency as it is they just don’t kick as hard anymore. I am 33 weeks 2 days and my little guy has been killing me these past few weeks with his super strong kicks!

I’m 31w5d, and I’d say my baby has an equal number of active and non-active days as its had for the past 6+ weeks. Some days its all over the place and kicking like crazy. Some days its pretty chill and only gives me a few bumps to let me know its still in there. I can’t really say its been more active lately.

My baby definately went through a faze around 32-34 weeks (?) where she got super super active and I remember thinking the same thing. Then she slowed down and her kicks became more like a “kneading” movement.

When I was pregnant with my little one, he used to be pretty laid back and quiet in he second tri, so much that I would freak out and I had a couple NSTs done. Once I hit third trimester, I felt him alllll the time – he still never gave me super hard kicks or hurt me with his movements, but I felt him literally squirm all day long, up until I have birth to him. It all makes sense to me now that he’s here – he’s a super laid back baby so far, and is a big squirmer when he’s annoyed. I think he moved so much towards the end BECAUSE he was aggravated that he had no room anymore. 🙂

@Sunshine09: oh yes. I’m 35 weeks now and the last 3 weeks have been intense! elbows and feet poking out all over the place, full on belly waves, and active day and night. it’s fun, I’m glad he’s healthy and well, but sometimes I’m like “calm down in there!”
