I’m currently a little over 28 weeks pregnant, and for the past couple weeks have been having a weird sensation in my lower abdomen. It only really happens when I’m sitting down/relaxing – It feels like one area of my lower abdomen, right above my pelvic region, gets really hard into a ball. It’s only hard in one spot – it doesn’t hurt, just feels like pressure there and then goes away within 10 seconds.
I can’t tell if it’s the baby moving positions/rolling or if its Braxton Hicks? It almost feels like his butt is sticking out or something! Has anyone else had this happen to them?

@Blondee: yes! and I am only 20 weeks 5 days! My tummy gets all lop-sided, too, it’s so weird! Some of the time it kinda hurts, too. I think mine is just baby sticking his head or butt in one spot, but I don’t really know. I don’t have a clue what BH’s feel like either, so more commenting to follow than anything! Haha

I didn’t really have any BH when I was pregnant with DD, but from my understanding with BH your whole bump goes hard, not just one part of it.

BHs are your uterus making a muscle, so you can touch your uterus and if it feel like your bicep when you flex, then it’s probably a BH contraction. Usually, they start at the top of the uterus, but it would be the entire top, not just one side.

My baby loves to be in a ball and make my belly lopsided. It’s probably just baby

Thanks ladies! I’m assuming its just baby moving then, since its always very low and never at my uterus. At my last ultrasound he was breech facing my spine (which he seems to like to do a lot), so I think it’s just his butt sticking out lol. It sometimes feels uncomfortable, though.

@Blondee: Be careful, I had contractions at 23 weeks that I at first thought were the baby scrunching up…it didn’t go away and when I got to the hospital I was having contractions on the monitor. Thank goodness they were of the irritable uterus variety and didn’t cause me to go into preterm labor. If you have more than 1 or 2 of these in an hour I’d call my Dr just to make sure.
