We are pretty set on the middle names (they are family names) but not completely opposed to having a second name picked out just in case 🙂 We reallllly like one of the girl names but it’s becom SO popular that I’m second guessing it now :/
Pretend our last name is Martin. It’s not, but our name follows a fairly similar phonetic pattern.

I voted for Evelyn and Andrew. I think they are both really great names and they also allow for the possibility of nicknames (which is always fun)!

I also voted for Evelyn and Andrew 🙂

I like both boy names, but prefer Andrew James just a little bit more.
And I love Evelyn Jane. Every 3rd little girl born these days is named Emma.
… I love cheese, too.

I think they’re all good names! But I like Evan more than Andrew, Emma more than Evelyn, and Jane more than Joanne <it wasn’t one of your options, but I think Emma Jane is super cute together>

I looooove the name Evelyn! It’s one of my favorites.

I dislike the name Joanne for personal reasons, so I chose the other three. Emma is WAY too popular, unfortunately, because it’s a pretty name. I like Evelyn…and it’s perfect for either Evie or Lynn to be her nickname, if you want.

@sailor: True… we picked ‘Emma’ when we were dating years ago, and now it’s become wildly popular 🙁 Boo hiss.

Emma is a great name but so popular now! So I voted for Evelyn. It’s old-timey without sounding too old lady-ish. For a boy, I prefer Evan to Andrew.

Agree that Emma is too popular (FSIL has a one-year old named Emma). I like Evelyn too because it can be shortened 🙂 I like Andrew and Evan equally. Both great boy names 🙂

I love the name Andrew – its classic and not widely used at the moment. Evelyn was on my list of girls names too, Love it! but we are having a boy lol.

If you change the spelling to Evalyn (which still sounds right, phonetically), you could call her Eva, which would sound less like a Pokemon than Evie does.

I like both boy names but prefer Andrew by just a little bit.
For a girl, I picked Evelyn.

I did Evelyn and Evan. I have always liked Evelyn and I also like the nicknames for it (Eve, Eva, Evie.) As for Evan James I just think it sounds good together.

I lurve Evelyn ! She could have some sweet nicknames like, i don’t know…Eva! lol
For the boys, they are both standard and good boys names, so I couldn’t pick one over the other 😉
