So, while with a group of friends (all of whom are of baby making ages and life situations, but only one couple actually has any) we started discussing names for future kids, starting with a friend who is convinced his child’s name will be Blazer. Yeah. Luckily his SO is strong willed enough that won’t actually happen.
Darling Husband and I started talking about what we wanted, and I thought I would see what the hive thought of our potential choices. We both came up with a boy and girl names, I want to know whose pick is the favorites! This won’t matter for at least a couple years but it seriously took Darling Husband FOREVER to come up with anything he liked at all. I, on the other hand, have known what names I wanted for my future kids since middle school. So, I want to know, who came up with better names?! I will post in a little while who picked which.

I love the name Samantha. Kathryn is fine, but with all the Kathryn/Catherine/Caitlin/Katelyn’s out there, there are a lot of girls called Kate or Katie. I don’t love Reece but prefer it over Cody, which I don’t think suits an adult man.

I voted Kathryn and Reece, however, I don’t think that Kathryn Sharon flows well together. Something about them both ending with the same sound seems off to me.
ETA: For full disclosure, I’m a Caitlyn and Cait for short so I may be biased. I think it’s a fabulous name! lol

Cody Jack reminds me of Kolby Jack cheese. I picked Reece.

I like all of the first names, but don’t really like the middle names you have paired up with them.

I like both girl first names, but I wonder what you would do about nicknames– with longish names like that, it’s pretty likely that some people would shorten them, particularly Samantha- Sam. I like both Samantha and Sam very much, but if you don’t like nicknames, then I think Kathryn is better. Im not personally a big fan of either middle name, but no one realy knows middles names anyway.
I love the name Reece, so that is my choice for boys.

I am not a fan of Reece or Samantha, so I voted for Kathryn and Cody. I agree with Cait that Sharon doesn’t go with Kathryn however.

I picked the Samantha and Reece options, I have the same problem with the name Cody in the fact that it does not sound like an adult’s name. I couldn’t imagine a Doctor or a bank manager called Cody, sorry.

I like Samantha. I don’t like Kacie as a middle name, though. It’s too trendy/90s.
For the boys…I think both names are a little too…too. As a previous poster said, “I couldn’t imagine a Doctor or a bank manager called Cody.” I can’t imagine one called Reece, either. And then there’s the problem of how to pronounce Reece. Like the candy or rhymes with fleece?
Finally, I know about a million people with dogs named Cody. =/

I vote Samantha and Reece 🙂
