what about fictional places? My fiancé is a bit of geek but likes ‘normal’ names where as I like something a bit different… so we compromised on lord of the rings theme lol and we like; rohan(b) lorien(b) nienna(g) ephel(g) bree(g) I think some might be slight twist on the places… Where did you meet… First date…where he ask you to marry him…any other significant moments you shared Could these be manipulated into a boys name?

Pappy8:  I’m reading a book right now where some of the characters are named after different places around the world. They were named after the places where they were conceived.

Isla (pronouced eye-la)

Genevieve (for the patron St. of Paris)

Hattie (short for Manhattan)

My Husband and I were talking one day and trying to think of cool names of places that would also work for kids. We came up with Pheonix (the name of one of our neighbor’s kids), Jackson, Monroe, Austin and there plenty others you could come up with if you break out a map or atlas.

Pappy8:  I like the spin of Mya off of Maya. How about Talia as a spin off of Thailand?
