teacherbee01:  I have a Catherine nicknamed Cate so I high five you for your excellent taste there πŸ˜‰

Other girl is Alexandra nn Alex.  I’ll tell ya, it’s straight-up hilarious the way people discuss other people’s name choices.  I’ve had people say “oh good, you picked a real name.”  Damn that’s ballsy, you don’t know, I could have a third kid at home named Rhinoceros.

we like Ellia (el-ee-a)for a girl…it means “My God has Answered”  and Liam for a boy, because of the Williams in our families and because I am irish and love irish names πŸ™‚

I also like Eloise, Emilia, Ruth & Nathan. I am a teacher and more often than not, many names are “ruined” for me because I associate them with past students…the struggle is real! But these names havent been tainted…yet!

FIs family has a tradition of using J names, so if we have any children we’ll choose to follow suit.  I like Jonah and James.  FI like Jack, but my cousin named his son Jackson, and I feel like that’s too close.  For girls, my favorites are Joelle and Julianne (which might be out if FI’s brother names their son Julian, but we’ll see).

We are about 5 months out from TTC, but we’ve had names set since we were dating. For a girl we are going with Millisle Grace (Millie for short). My grandmother is from Millisle, Northern Ireland and I have always loved, loved, loved the name and the town is beautiful, right on the Irish Sea. We still have relatives there as well so it’s a nice nod to them too.

For a boy Sebastian Maximus. Maximus is definitely for Gladiator, my husband’s favourite movie and I happen to like the name.

Just recently I found a second girls name I absolutely love and the hubs is on board too…Sophie Eloise. Our last name is French and I think works well for all of the above.

Our boy will be Everette Kevin…or possibly Everette Allen, and our girl will be Evelyn Kay. We also have a 6yr old daughter – Ellie Katherine. We must like the E.K initials! πŸ™‚
