Are you naming your child a name that is commonly found as a last name? i.e. Kennedy, Madison, Taylor . . .
I find this trend to be so interesting! Here’s a nice list I found for those who may be intersted: http://www.parenting.com/baby-names/lists/Last-names-that-make-great-first-names

I like Parker, Tucker, Cooper but don’t even think of them as last names anymore. That’s funny. My first thought when I read your question was, “No, not me.” 🙂

That guy who won American Idol (at least I am pretty sure he won, I don’t watch the show) was named Phillip Phillip. 🙂
So I guess parents out there give their kids first names that are last names, whom have that last name!

Yes! Not preg… but my last name is one of the examples you gave, so we might name a future child that to keep my maiden name around a bit! 🙂

We plan on naming our boy Brady 🙂

My Fiance is named his mother’s maiden name. I probably won’t use a name like this, though.

I don’t even think of those names as last names! While obviously they can be, things like Taylor, Madison, Cooper, Conner, etc are more first names than last names at this point.

Cooper sounds like a last name or a dogs name to me lol a friend of mine named her son that and I still don’t like it. I like Kennedy & Madison though, and Taylor.

Like Miranda on Sex and the City! Love it!

i just came in here to say my first name is miranda and it was my mom’s maiden name 🙂 i think it’s more common as a last name than a first name. at least it used to be. i think it’s gained popularity in the last 10 years or so (probably thanks to sex & the city and lizzie mcguire).

I love the name Tucker; however, since FI’s last name is Turner…I don’t foresee that being a good name for a baby boy. Tucker Turner. No thanks…lol

I love that idea! Unfortunately my maiden name doesn’t lend itself to this but I had never heard of that before. How creative!

My maiden name is Spence, I tried to convince DH to name our son that if we have a boy. Too bad he doesn’t like it.
