Is this your first baby? If so, you may want to put off dress shopping until after you have the baby. Your body is likely to change a lot.

Aw! Congratulations!  Your bump is adorable!  I’m not pregnant yet, and already have my dress, so I have no advice or experience.  Just wanted to say I love your belly.  :-p

You could always do an empire waistline. Still beautiful. Like this…

I just wanted to say two things:

That dress is stunning!

You have one of the cutest little bumps I’ve ever seen!

Ugh… I find out on Friday if our last round of fertlity treatments worked. Dress shopping has been a bit of a nightmare because of it. If I get my BFP, I’ll be 36 weeks along for the wedding. I have my heart set on a beautiful Mori Lee dress (3114), which I put a deposit on last week.  The dress is actually way out of my budget… one store listed it for $1300 + alterations, but I managed to find one that would sell it to me for $1040 alterations included.  She offered me $100 off if I came in by the end of the week, which still puts it about $300 over what I wanted to spend, but I loved it so much my dear Fiance agreed to let me blow the budget for it.  The store owner agreed to hold off on placing the order until I know for sure, and told me we could just order the dress 3-4 sizes larger if I am pg, but I don’t believe for a second it will fit my 8 mth round belly. I’m a plus-size girl to begin with, and need the dress in a size 24 without being pg.  If I do get my BFP, I think I will have to go back to the store and look at another dress, one that comes in maternity sizes, cuz I’m pretty sure I’ll be as big as a whale on the day of the wedding.

As a 37 yr old bride, let me tell you, racing against the biological clock is NOT FUN!  Trying to cram a wedding and a baby all into one year may definitively prove my insanity.

I bought my dress and got pregnant 4 weeks later.  I’ll be 14 weeks at the wedding.  Will probably have to put a corset-back on the dress in order to fit into it.
