Ha ha you bees are awesome! My Fiance and I are always joking about those signs as we both find them ridiculous. We will NOT be having one on our car that is for certain.

Ugh, these signs are a pet peeve of mine. If I’m about to hit your car, the sign is not going to make a difference. Also, I don’t understand how your baby is more important than my loved ones. Should I get a “hubby on board” sign because I like him and I’d rather you not crash into us?

I think that ‘Baby on Board’ signs are obnoxious. I would never put one on my car (I am 3 weeks pregnant now, and my opinion has not changed being pregnant). I think those signs generally advertise that you are a huge douche.

On the way home today I was behind a “baby on board” car. They were blaring their music loud enough for me to sing along. When I finally got around them, I saw an infant in the back seat. Perhaps that parent should be more concerned with the ear drums of her young child than announcing to the world that she has “precious cargo” on board.

@LGenz:  Totally agree. My loves ones safety is more important to me than some strangers baby but you don’t see me posting a sign on my car.

That would be a no. I’m also not going to be posting signs on my child’s car seat that direct people to not touch/please wash hands/whatever. Not my parenting style.

@eliwhit:  that’s what I always thought too! I never thought much of it….always seemed like they were used as sunscreens.

@julies1949:  That’s awesome!

Yes, those signs are douchy and obnoxious, sorry! And that goes for any sign advertising family stick figures, honor rolls, and megaphones with your child’s initial on them, etc etc.

I also do not care that you “love your weiner dog”.

I don’t mind them–I always thought of them as maybe someone with that sign was driving slow because their newborn was in the car (like caution lights or “feel free to pass me”). I never bought one but I never thought anything of the parents who had them.

After my son was born I got a baby on noard sign because it was reccomended by our fire department ( Fiance was a volunteer firemen and so was his dad). They said it was a good way to know if there is a serious accident that there could be a baby in the car. They always check the back first anyway but it was nice to have a sign, but i am also one of those weird people who followed all the saftey things the FD said (ie have them install seat, no reverse mirrior, stretching straps every time so you have to adsjust them when strapping in baby and my son is 15 months and still backwards)

We won’t use one but only because we think they are tacky looking…I’d consider it for the safety reasons but DH wouldnt go for that.

I always thought those signs were meant for medical professionals…kids are ejected/forgotten easily….and I always steer clear of those cars
