Some must haves from when I had my daughter….

Pampers. Luckily that’s what we had boxes of because huggies gave her a rash.

Halo sleep sacks. My daughter hated being swaddled so we never did it. I would get at least 2. My daughter spit up alot so I was constantly washing it.

Plan on putting babe in pack n play or crib? Either way at least 2 sheets for same spit up reason.

All the burp cloths. So much spit up.

Nursing? Nipple cream. Cuz ouch.

All the footie jammies. With a zipper!

A nightlight to use when getting up with babe so you don’t have to turn on big lights.

Baby carrier. I love my lillebaby.

Bobby pillow. So helpful when nursing.

Some place to set babe down. We had her crib in her room and the pack n play out in the living room. (Rock n play also an option)

Thermometer.  Get a good one! I have had to use that thing way to often.

A baby bath tub. We did sponge baths for the first couple weeks.

A play mat. We had one with a piano on the end. It was so cute when she played songs kicking it.

Grooming kit. I really only used the brush and nail clipped.

Nose feida. They seem disgusting but work awesome.

Saline drops for her nose.

Receiving blankets. Can also be used as burp rags.

A cute blanket or 2.

Video monitor.

Swing/bouncer helpful after a couple months  (we had a 2 in 1. The bouncer came off the swing and could be set on the floor. Saved space In our small house)

This is all I can think of off the top of my head. I suppose not all are registry material lol

We used our registry mostly as a wish list. My dad ended up being kind and buying me most of the biiig items like stroller w carseat, mesh carseat cover,  changing table, crib, crib mattress, and carrier for babywearing.

We figure if anyone else wants to get us anything then awesome. If not no big deal. Its listed for our benefit so we can more easily buy it ourselves. All that’s left is a high chair and convertible carseat of the bigger items and mostly clothes anyway 🙂 I think alot of registries give you a checklist to fill out with items. It helped because I was lost too. 🙂

Pampers and Huggies both worked for us, we’re in the minority, it seems most people I talked to seemed to have a strong preference and all said it varies by child.

The kirkland brand diapers were good too, but we ended up using amazon because with a subscription it was actually cheaper per unit and it comes right to our front door which is a bonus.

The ‘musts’ for us were

– breast pump

– bottle warmer (used well over a year, I had to supplement with formula and it made life soooooo much easier)

– bassinet

– swing

– jumperoo

– sound machine
