@pmerr:  If you have a Buy Buy Baby, I’d go with that!   I like them much better than Babies R Us but we don’t have one near us.  Remember you can register at more than one place too.  We did Pottery Barn Kids and Babies R Us.

If I could register at BBB, I would. By far over BRU. Unfortunately, my friends won’t buy things they can’t walk into a store and touch, and the BBB is too far away for them. I really prefer it there though.

Well, I was really happy with my wedding registry at Bed, Bath & Beyond and since Buy Buy Baby is owned by the same company, I think they’re a good option. Only reason I didn’t register there is because the closest one is 40 minutes away and I think that’s just a bit too far for most people.

My main registry is at Amazon and I think that will work out ok. Shopping at Amazon is so easy, I don’t think most people will have any issues with it. I also registered for a few things at Target, for those who really prefer shopping in-store.

You can definitely have more than one!  I did BRU (would have much preferred a BBB, but one of my shower locations isn’t anywere near one, and didn’t want the guests to only be able to purchase online), Amazon, and PB Kids.  I have been extremely happy with all of them.

BBB is owned by the same company as Bed, Bath and Beyond. I would highly recommend them as a registry. I wish ours wasn’t an hour away, otherwise I would have used them.

Check out your BRU, look at reviews on it, and talk to the people about setting up a registry. It’s hit or miss with them, seriously. I LOVE our BRU here. They have been amazing. The customer service has been wonderful – returns were easy and they are always willing to go above and beyond. I’ve been in other BRUs that just plain suck, so I always return to the one closest to me.

I did BRU and Target, but have a limited amount of stuff on Target. I find Target a huge PITA for returns without receipts (even with receipts they are a nightmare), so I only put certain items on there to give people a second place to shop.

Amazon is nice, but if you have all local people or are having actual showers you will probably want to have a physical store. I know my family wouldn’t purchase my registry items online.

We did Target, Crate and Barrell, and Amazon for our wedding and NOBODY bought anything from Amazon.  And I am saying a couple people, if that, out of 250. I think people wait until like the week of an event to purchase things so when they finally buy the gift it it too late to have it shipped and in hand by the shower.  So I guess I would just recommend not doing a main online registry.

We plan on doing Toys R Us and Target. Basically because my hometown and the area around my husbands don’t have many other options.

I just have an Amazon registry, I feel like they have the best selection and usually best prices, and everyone I knows buys online anyway. 🙂 There were some things that Target had that Amazon didn’t, but since they have a universal registry at Amazon, I just added the Target ones to my Amazon one. 🙂 I have Amazon prime, and buy sooo much stuff on there to save money! I like to shop around there, too so that I can see lots of reviews on products. So that just made sense for me. I don’t have any other baby stores near me like BBB or BRU, so those aren’t an option for me.

honestly i did BRU and Amazon. i had a bad experience with target for our wedding so i didnt bother with anything else. BRU is used to doing registries and its just easy… and then amazon has the best deals so i closed out that registry and got my 10% off 🙂

I personally find BRU one of the most annoying stores on earth, so I would vote against it if you have other reasonable options.  They are just a massive headache all around.

Have you tried BabyList? Its an online baby registry that works like Pinterest. You add items from any store to ONE baby registry. You can add items from BRU, Target, Amazon, etc. And, it even gives you options for other stores to purchase like items from…so you can see if it is less expensive somewhere else.

Your gift-giver just needs to click “Reserve” and they can buy online or in store for you.

I used to work at Bed Bath and Beyond…. You can used Bed Bath and Beyond coupons at buy buy baby which is a plus since those things come in the mail all the time!
