I’ve yet to get anything for baby, its been 19 weeks and I can’t wait any longer!
we’ve cleaned babys room out and we are painting it tan tonight! The room has white trim and built in white book shelves and a white closet. So heres my problem, what color of furniture? our entire house has dark wood and most of our decor is browns and tans so I’m thinking dark furniture… but then I think, if I have white furniture It’ll be easier to match and cheaper because we can use our old dresser as baby’s dresser/changing table if we paint it white….
the colors that we are going for are tans and browns for baby’s bedding and such, so that way we can use it again when we decide to have more babies! We’ll add in decor with more bold colors but just basic neutral colors for the costly things!

I’m not sure if this helps but our changing table is white and our crib is a dark brown so you might not have to go all the same. Since they’re not right next to each other in the room I think it looks fine, but our walls are white.

I agree- the two toned look is really popular right now. You could pair a crib like one of these with your white dresser and maybe add a dark bookcase to tie the whole thing in together.
These cribs are both Babyletto, but depending on your price point you could go cheaper (Wal Mart has a great version) or higher end.

We have a lot of wood tone in our house and we decided to do white trim with white furniture for the nursery.
A big factor for us was the money savings not having to match the exact color of wood by going white.

I love the look of white furniture in a nursery, I think it lightens the room up a lot.
