We’re doing a preppy nautical little girls theme.  Definitely not cutesy and babyish, more sophisticated but themed.  Ill find some pics and upload of stuff we’ve gotten

We are thinking about going for a Moon & Stars theme.

When my husband was a bachelor he had a thing about the sun & moon like these?

He had all these white ceramic wall ones, sun & crescent moons. Candle holders, wind chimes. So when we moved in together I wanted to keep them so we can use them in our future nursery.

So I’m thinking a dreamy Moon & Star theme.

I want something very bright, cheerful and neutral. So in terms of color I’m thinking yellow & white.

we’re having a boy and thinking of doing some kind of theme with animals – so either a sort of forest type theme with baby jungle animals, trees, and dark wood furniture, or baby farm animals with white-washed furniture. either way we also want to have glow in the dark stars around the ceiling trim, just because it seems sweet πŸ™‚ i guess i kind of like babyish looking nursuries, but there is having to totally redecorate once he gets older lol.

@Nola: our “theme” was pink and brown. I just love it. but we had a ton of lady bug stuff too because she is our little “caidy bug” lol… I wish I had pictures of her room but I don’t have any with me πŸ™

@Sunchick19:

I LOVE your son’s nursery.

It’s so calming. It’s so clean and simple.

I’m not a fan of hugely overly decorated nurseries. Or homes in general.

@regberadaisy: @cyndistar3:  aww thanks! we were really happy with it – my husband put a lot of elbow grease into getting it ready, but I was going nuts wanting to nest while he was painting etc and everything was in the middle of the room under tarps  πŸ™‚

 @Nola: keep in mind babies don’t use blankets for a long while, so if you get a quilt it will be decorative vs. something you keep in the crib!  and i love the whales πŸ™‚

@Sunchick19: It really irritates me that all of these bedding sets come with SO many pieces that dont ge tused right away…like the blanket and for me, the bumper.  Its just easier for me to buy all the separates, annoying as it is =oP
