I’m throwing a baby shower for my little sister I want it to be fun but cheap because I am on a very tight budget. Keeping in mind she is 17 and most of her friends are probably going to be about that age as well but I’ll also have older family come. Ill probably just throw the party in the park or at one of our homes to save money. Now I need ideas for decorations and food. Should I have games should I take her out to do a registered? Any advice?

I would definitely play some silly baby games! Those are fun for everyone!
For food, things like veggies and dip, fruit trays, crackers & cheese, cupcakes, finger sandwiches were all popular choices at my shower!
For a registry, I used an online one like MyRegistry, that way it gives people an idea of what they can buy…which im sure her younger friends will like since most of them might not have too much of an idea of what to buy her!

Now I need cheap games and decor ideas?

I love multi purpose decor that can be used after the shower. Things like:
Get a long string. Hang baby onsies and socks on it. Hang as a banner.
Make another string banner with rattles and teething toys
Use baby bottles as vases- either do flowers in them or “pacifier bouquets”
Look for ways you can repurpose the baby items. It makes a super cute shower, and your sister can use it all afterwards.

Cheap games I am good there
Use Yarn, String, (I have even seen this done with TP) To guess how big the belly is.
Baby food taste game baby food is like 60 cents a container.
Put a bunch of baby items on a plate and have everyone write down everything on the plate. (or do that then have the mom go to the “Bathroom” and have everyone wrtie down what mama is wearing)
Get a towel and everytime some crosses their legs they have to wear the towel like a diaper (the “Diaper” gets passed around)

oh wow that’s a wonderful idea! I think wooden blocks spelling out Delilah would be cute too and I could set the whole set of them randomly around as extra decor. I think ill get some balloons too since they are so cheap. Love the baby bottle idea and clotheslines with toys and onesies. That should be enough with a small diaper cake. 🙂
I have ribbon from the wedding left for the belly game and I love the baby food game idea! Thanks!

I have some candy left over from my candy bar at the wedding… Do you think that would be okay to set up or should I just skip that idea? Am I supposed to have favors?
