These are your typical baby shower games but they go over well

  • cant say baby – have necklaces with pacifiers or something baby related attached to it and everyone gets one when they arrive. No one can say baby – you can make it harder by using multiple words like the baby’s name, infant, etc…if someone says it then you can take their necklace and the person with the most necklaces at the end of the shower wins!
  • guess the baby food – buy 6 jars of baby food and remove the labels – use popsicle sticks for tasting and everyone has to taste the jars and try and guess what kind of baby food it is.
  • Guess her belly size – Use toiletpaper to guess how big her belly is around. person with the closest piece wins.

Here are some other games that seems like tons of fun!

I’ve never been to a co-ed shower where we played games.  So I’m not sure of any.  Have you looked on pinterest?

One that is kinda on the gross side but still fun is:

Buy a bunch of mini candy bars (variety pack) and melt one of each kind inside a diaper (microwave for 30 secs or so).  The diapers then get passed around and you have to guess what kind of candy bar it is.

Like I said, it’s probably one of the nastier games, but I’ve seen it done at a couple co-ed showers and people thought it was funny.

I just threw a baby shower for my SIL and while it was women-only, I think this game would be great for a co-ed shower. It was a hit and people loved it.

“Name That Tune, Baby”

Directions

5-10 seconds of a song will be played once. Each player then guesses the title and artist. You get 1 point for each correct title and 1 point for each correct artist. Maximum points per song = 2. There is no penalty for wrong answers or blanks.

*Hint: Each title contains the word “Baby” or “Babe”

I made sheets for people to write their answers down. I had 15 songs on the list from all decades. I can send you my sheet if you want! Just let me know.

For my sister’s shower, I made up versions of “Baby Scattergories” and “Baby Pictionary” – played just like the regular games but with baby topics/categories. If you want to go that route, just pm me and I can send you the templates! We ended up only having time for Scattergories, but it was a lot of fun.

We also played the name that baby tune game while she was opening presents.

There was a game at a shower I attended where we had to use playdough to make a baby (without additional tools). A netural 3rd party voted for the best looking baby. This was a coed shower and a man actually won.

You can also do the quantity guessing game. Maybe you can do pacifiers in a jar or the generic jelly beans in a jar. That’s pretty gender neutral too.

Another standard would be the scramble game, where you have to guess what each word scramble is. That’s not too girly/feminine for sure.

Maybe you can do a Name that Baby game and do either celebrities as babies/kids, existing celebs’ kids/babies (e.g. Harper Beckham), or the guests (have them provide the pix ahead of time).

Make sure the prizes are worth playing the games.  I went to one where the prizes were bottles of wine and you should have seen how competitive people got!  Other than that I personally dislike baby shower games.  Socialize a little, open your presents, cut the cake, and get it over with.

Since you’re in a gym why do make up an obstacle course and make them run through it carrying a weight ball under their shirt like a pregnant belly?  Best time without dropping the ball wins.  Would make for some great pictures if you can get them to do it.
