@PaisleyMedic  a double stroller and/or diapers. She will definitely be using a lot of diapers with twins 🙂

Do they have a registry? I know for my upcoming shower, I am hoping people will want to choose off our registry, and I imagine for twins, they’ll be feeling that even more so!

My SIL just had twin boys last August ! My SIL is very into having them wear the same outfits so I buy her doubles of everything . I know some twin moms don’t like them matchy so that’s something to ask her or someone close to them . And I second a PP about the diapers , she didn’t have to buy diapers for months and it was a huge financial relief . Sorry I don’t know much more ! Shopping for twins is fun but adds up quick ! Lol

Im a twin mom. I loved matching outfits. diapers are a godsend. but the best gift that i was given was a voucher for a spa day. it was an excuse to get out of the house for the day. My aunt gave it to me and she said everyone will buy for the babys nobody buys for the mum. I had bought loads myself for them. So your basically giving her a day off with the voucher 🙂

Diapers, diapers, diapers, DIAPERS! Aha, my SO’s sister had twins recently and she loves that she hasn’t had to buy diapers yet because so many of the guests from her baby shower gifted them. Its also a good idea to gift your friends diapers of larger sizes because most guests usually bring newborn sizes!

If you want to get crafty, you can make a diaper cake!

As a mom to be of twin boys, I would say stick to the registry! I know for us we need a lot of stuff as we are first time parents and anything off the registry would be appreciated! Diapers are always a good choice too! If you wanted to get clothes that are cute I would maybe get some bigger sizes, not just newborn! The other thing to think about would be like a cleaning service to come in once a week and just help do some of the cleaning she won’t have time to do…we aren’t putting that on our registry but I will be asking for it for my birthday!

I second sticking to the registry. I am also a mom of twins (boy/girl) and the most useful items have been, larger sized diapers (people think smaller is cuter so those are a blessing when gifted), 2 pack n’ plays, vicks plug ins with cartridges and humidifier for stuffy noses. HTH’s

I was just in this boat. My best friend is due with twins and the store she registered at is too far away (I’m 37 weeks pregnant) and has ridiculous shipping costs.

I bought a pack of diapers, onsies, swaddle sacks, and a baby book that has been invaluable to me. I knew she was using disposable diapers, so I bought her a popular brand (pampers swaddlers) with a gift receipt even though they didn’t register for any.

I loved when people stuck to my registry, but I also really appreciated the tried and true gifts I didn’t know to register for. I figure experienced moms know best.

I am a twin mom, and the best gifts for me were things like food delivery after they were born, and the offer to come over and do something (wash dishes, clean up, throw in a load of laundry etc). or just watch them so I could nap.

Other then that diapers, wipes, onesies are always needed and you go through so many.

A big old bottle of wine also helps!

She might have forgotten to register for diapers or is it possible she is going cloth and using a diaper service?  I feel like that’s the kind of thing you can ask her, cloth or disposable, and then you’ll have your answer.  (Of course if she has a registry that makes it easier…)

I’m a twin mom, and I don’t dress my boys in matching outfits and the disposable diapers I received are collecting dust (we cloth diaper).  The most useful gifts were frozen/prepared meals, my twin nursing pillow, our swings, and amazon gift cards (we registered at amazon).  I didn’t even bother registering for cloth diapers because I knew no one would get them.
