I was wondering what some of you considered “must haves” from your baby shower list, or something you discovered you couldn’t live without once you had a baby, or something someone got you that you thought was ingenious 🙂

A cool thing not on my registry that someone got me: a Baby Briefcase. It’s a place to keep baby’s medical stuff, birth certificate, daycare info, baptism paperwork, etc. It’s something you could put together yourself, but I thought it was a good gift idea, and we’ve used it a lot

Someone got us a fisher price rock n play (I hadn’t registered for it), and we used that thing all the time. Our daughter always slept in her crib at night, but I didn’t realize how handy it would be to have somewhere safe to put her down during the day for a few minutes here and there. We used this much more than our bouncy seat, but I know people who lived those. It’s just whatever works for you.
Our other must-have is the ergo baby carrier. We’ve used that from when she was about 5 days old till now (still going strong in it at 19 months). It’s so convenient and easy to wear.

Boppy pillow is the only thing I really love. There are things people will tell you are great that really aren’t. I had three moms tell me to get a Bumbo seat. I used it maybe twice. Same with a sound machine. My baby never really cared for it. It depends on you and your kid.

Pack n play, our daughter slept in one until she was 8 months old and we occasionally use it to contain her when we quickly grab something from another room.

Nose Frida! I thought it was a gimmick while registering, overlooked it and laughed. Then my 2 month old got sick with lots of congestion. The plain bulb suckers did not work, not enough force/pressure. The Nose Frida saved us! I will gladly buy one for a friend to save them from a congested baby!
