i am planning a “sprinkle” for my sister. this is her second kid, she is having a boy, her first was a girl. I just googled some ideas for sprinkle invitaiton wording and got all these cheesy poems that make me cringe!
so i am looking for help on how to write a sprinkle invitation that gets the point across that this is not an extravagent baby shower, but a little party to celebrate this new life and that we can “sprinkle” the mother with some boy clothes, diapers and other small items that she needs.
Also, my sister wants to register for a few things she needs, although i am not sure this is a good idea. what do you think?

@dynamic_duo: generally i think registering for a second shower (sprinkle) is frowned upon as far as etiquette is concerned. as far as wording goes… maybe “sprinkle her with love”? too cheesy? i’d try looking up “baby sprinkle invitation” on etsy and seeing what kind of wording they use on their invites.

o.o I had no idea there was something called a “sprinkle” and that is was frowned upon to have a shower for a second baby… Whaaaa? Even if you have one child, you will probably still be in need of things for subsequent children!
Not sure if you saw this one, but I looked up Baby Sprinkle invitations and saw this picture with an invitation that I dont think is particularly cheesy:

And the text at the bottom of this one gets the point across well too:
