amanda1988 :  I haven’t been on these boards in forever, but I love checking in on my long time TTC friends.  So I thought I would contribute!

What’s your one most beloved splurge item? (Roughly $100+, let’s say) Our Pack n’ Play Cuddle Cove Rocking set.  I used the Pack n’ Play bassinet for when she slept in our room, and it’s still nice to be able to put her in it while I run to the bathroom or sometimes for a nap.  The vibrating rocker was a staple.  She loved napping in it or just hanging out in it.

What’s your one most beloved save item? (Roughly <$20, let’s say) The pump from insurance… I needed it by 3 days post-partum.  Also the Haakaa!  My little girl is a terrible napper and was a grade-A cluster feeder for 9 weeks.  I could never find time to pump to save a stash for work.

What is one item you couldnt have made it to 1m without? I got a cheap Cuddlebug wrap.  It didn’t last much longer than 1 month, because I felt like it was stretching out too much, but a soft wrap for going out is a must.  She would nap happily in there every time.  Oooo… and gas drops.  Poor gassy girl… Gas would keep her awake.

What is the one item you really wish you could have returned slash you regret choosing?  And a follow up: what would you have gotten to replace it, if anything? I regret putting a Pack n’ Play mattress on my registry… I didn’t realize it wasn’t sleep safe until shortly after we got home from the hospital.  Now it’s just a bulky item in a random closet in my house.  Instead, Graco has specific soft sheets for their mattress that my little girl loved just as much as the after market mattress.

amanda1988 :  It’s the best with a newborn!!  Once she got bigger (which I had a small baby, but maybe because we wore it so much), it was getting more difficult to wrap her and keep her in the correct position.  Plus, it started making my back sore for long trips with her.  I got an Ergo360, and she loved it until after her second leap, then she wanted to look out at EVERYTHING.  She’s still not 14lbs yet at 4 months, so I can’t face her outwards… so I rarely put her in a carrier. right now  She is a lot better with neck and back control right now, so for little trips, we’ll just carry her in our arms.
