I also hate it. It does make me want to punch the couple in the throat, haha – but I never would. We never talk baby talk to each other.

Omg, I loathe baby talking, and when I hear it from couples I definitely mind punch them in the face!

@Kandiss16:  …I don’t even talk that way to a baby, so why would I do it to my husband? If other people want to, fine…but don’t get all bent out of shape when I roll my eyes, after all a woman can only take so much.

HATE BABY TALK!  Don’t even let my kids do it.  Drives me up the wall.  Yuck!

I realized last night that sometimes I use a younger cutesier voice with FI when we talk, but I never use it in public or around other people. I don’t like really any PDA beyond holding hands, and baby talk falls under PDA to me.

I only talk this way to my dogs lol. I would never talk like that to my FI, he would probably think I’ve lost my mind haha.

Not to each other, but the dogs, well, that’s another (embarrassing) story.

And holy mother do we do communicate in some weird ways when we’re all alone, mostly making up raps and songs to random tunes. Pretty much any tune is up for grabs, TV show theme songs, NPR instrumental interludes. We could probably have like 15 albums-worth of insane songs from our seven years together so far. Our children will think we are the biggest losers on Earth!

Not baby talk, but we definitely have a softer tone of voice that we use only with each other.

@remijp:  LOL us, too. 🙂 We speak mainly in movie/tv quotes, random songs, etc. We’re weirdos.
