We’re going to Savannah and Tybee Island for our babymoon.  Savannah to get some great southern eats & exploring a new city.. and Tybee Island (less than an hour away) to lay on the beach if weather permits.  Fingers crossed we’ll get a couple of nice days in!

Asheville NC is nice. My fiance and I stayed there last Oct specifically to see waterfalls in the Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State forest (Dupont was beautiful). There are lots of waterfalls around there and hiking if you’re into that. Asheville is nice and it’s close to the Biltmore, there’s also the Sierra Nevada Brewery you can tour not too far away. This resort (link below) seems nice although we haven’t stayed there yet, looks like there’s a cabana with drinks by the pool but it might be pricey for your taste. I guess you could also always find a resort at one of the beaches like Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head etc.

kmhbee2017 :  I was going to say Cape May too! It’s driving distance from Philly. I LOVE Cape May. My grandmother lives there and visiting her is like taking a vacation. They have beautiful beaches, there are some really beautiful victorian bed and breakfasts as well as regular hotels. They have horse and carriage rides. There is an outdoor mall with ice cream shop, fudge shop, restaurants, shoe store, clothing store, and typical beach shopping stores. There are a lot of great restaurants and a nice arcade along the beach/boardwalk.

Oh, and Sunset Beach is great for watching sunsets!! They have a flag ceremony and there’s an ice cream shop there too 🙂
