So Darling Husband and I have to decide TODAY whether or not we are going to be going on a babymoon (currently just over 11 weeks pregnant so feeling hopeful things may not go wrong anymore). He has to schedule some things with work in advance so planning ahead is a must for us. We would be going in February when I am 16-17 weeks. I would love to go on a relaxing beach vacation, some place we’ve never been. We’ve never been on an all inclusive trip but it has always sounded so appealing so we’re leaning that way. Anyone have any favorite locations? We’re not wanting to spend a ton of money, looking to keep it under $4000 but am hoping we could go for 5-7 days.

Darling Husband and I wanted to go to San Andres, Colombia. Its a beautiful, beautiful island. However, because of my horrible MS throughtout my first trimester and part of the second trimester, we decided to not waste our money and time if we were not going to both fully enjoy the trip, so now, that I am almost 21 weeks we are thinking maybe we just take a roadtrip to Canada and make the best of it. I am so afraid of getting the flu or even a cold, so I dont want to get in a plane with a bunch or germ carriers haha …. Wherever you decide to go, have fun, dear!

@Christy42213: A trip you take with your spouse while your pregnant. It’s your last vacation before becoming parents.

@beachbride1216: Oh, interesting. I don’t really think I’d want to travel while pregnant, but that’s just me. Our honeymoon was our babymoon I guess. 😛

We actually planned the trip before we found out we were pregnant, BUT we planned the trip with the hopes that I WOULD be pregnant. lol We are heading to Bryce, UT (driving) and renting a house there that’s in a gorgeous, private area, but that’s also close to things that we can do if we want. 🙂 I can’t wait!!

Darling Husband and I loved Couples Swept Away! It’s beautiful and relaxing and has really good food – a definite plus if you aren’t taking advantage of the boozy part of an all-inclusive. We also have friends who went to Belize for their babymoon and loved it. I think as long as you don’t go anywhere with crazy high altitude or a dangerous food/water supply, you should be totally fine. Have fun!

@bloodgo1: We love all-inclusives as a home base for our vacations! The Caribbean is lovely- Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mayan Riviera..lots of beautiful resorts to choose from. We usually leave the resort almost every day and venture into the nearby towns and cities, but it sounds like you will just relax and stay at the resort? If that’s the case, I’d pick whichever island is closest to you and has the best deals. The white sand beaches and turquoise waters are very similar at different areas of the Caribbean, so keeping travel time short is best when pregnant imho! Have a great time:)

We are spending a week in Maui. It was that or Zihuatanejo.
Cautions against travel and flying in pregnancy are outdated and should only be taken into account if you have a high risk pregnancy or other medical condition.

@bloodgo1: SOMEWHERE WARM! LOL! Can you tell I’m currently somewhere where its snowing??
We went to SugarBay in St. Thomas for our honeymoon and it was all-inclusive and it was fabulous! Check their specials because they have some very very good discounted rates they run them fairly often. Have fun planning! We’re thinking of one ourselves but I doubt we will be able to afford the carribean again 🙁 booo!

Riviera Maya, Mexico!! Sooo beautiful and cost effective! We stayed at barcelo maya beach that was all inclusive and the food was great!! We had the largest beach compared to the other resorts.

We are members of the Palace resort club, and went to Moon Palace for our babymoon. It was great! Palace resorts are in different locations, but all in Mexico. If you decide to go to one of them, you can use my membership for a discounted rate, just PM me and I’ll give you the info.
Otherwise, we have also been to Sandals in Ocho Rios, and that was really great. We went to another resort in St. Lucia, but I think that one would be more than your budget.

@bloodgo1: @cherrypie: Oh, I want to go to Hawaii SO BAD!!! Neither of us has been yet so this seems like a great opportunity… we were thinking of doing something in Feb regardless… I’d be 22-24 wks depending on when we go…
