Seems a bit strange to me.

I never gave it much thought, but I like when my birthday is (April).  Once in a great while it falls on Easter but otherwise I like being a spring baby.

For some reason I have always liked the idea of having a baby in September. I won’t be trying for that month or anything though.

I think I messed up your poll results a little. I voted Oct-Dec since I just want to pregnant like now!

I liked having a February birthday, and like SnowInApril, every once in awhile my birthday falls on Mardi Gras day so that’s cool.  I would have loved a Halloween baby, but it looks like I’m going to get a Fourth of July (hopefully) baby instead.

@applebeee:  I live in Florida so if I could avoid being in my second or third trimesters during the summer months then I would be a happy camper.  I notice that a lot of daycares get an influx of babies born that time of year here.  However, when we decide to TTC I probably won’t care as much.

I really wouldn’t care but would prefer not to have a baby between Nov – Feb. Reason being there are a million spendy things happening around those months (Xmas, FI’s birthday, anniversary, family birthdays etc) so anytime between July – Sept would be ideal. However, I will not be shagging only during the months of Oct – Dec 🙂

When Darling Husband and I started talking about TTC, the only thing I told him was that I did not want to be big and pregnant in the summer months. It’s too hot and humid here for that.

I got pregnant by surprise, due in February. I wasn’t huge in the summer, but the downside to being big in the winter is that your normal winter clothes won’t fit (nor will your jacket). I’ve been trying to just layer and make do. Thankfully it’s been a mild winter so far!

When we start TTC we’re going to be TTC until we get pregnant or otherwise decide to stop lol. There would be no stopping during certain months to avoid certain birthdays.

If I could somehow choose though, I would probably avoid December – February. Too much is already going on during those months! DH’s birthday, Christmas, New Years, My birthday, our anniverary…

I never really thought about it. I have a fall birthday and I love it, having a fall baby would be fun but we really didn’t care so we went for it and we are having a June baby! The only month I might have tried to avoid purpose is December because of Christmas.

I didn’t care when it was—I just wanted a baby!  As a teacher, there are some parts of the year that would be easier/harder to miss, but I didn’t think about it while TTC.  It took us 3 months, btw.  We conceived in December and are due in September.  So I will come to work for a month August-September and then not come back until January.

i don’t care so much about the birthday but i would like to have the bulk of my pregnancy in the winter months (nov-march). i also don’t want to be out on maternity leave until 2014 so would hopefully deliver between jan-april 2014. i know you can’t really plan this stuff but we’re going to start TTC this april. it at least gives us a few months of trying to get the time frame i want but if it doesn’t happen in those few months then that’s life and we’ll continue to TTC. we’ll be happy any way it happens.

We want a Oct-Jan baby so they will be older in their grades.
