I am using babys breath for my centerpieces, I would love to make some of these to incorporate into my winter wedding as well. They are like snowballs! If anyone figures out a way to make them please let me know!

Love them. I’m actually considering baby’s breath for my bridesmaids’ bouquets. It looks beautiful in big bunches and I think it’s often overlooked because it has always been used as a filler, which is a shame!

Thank you so much for posting these. They are my new inspiration. I am having a winter wedding (January 2012), and am trying to figure out how to do different things with baby’s breath. I think it looks like snow too, so it seems perfect! I love the pomanders for the pews, so I think I might buy a bunch of baby’s breath and try to figure those out. Maybe in a few days.

Baby’s breath does not have a sturdy enough stem to insert into styrofoam on its’ own. You need to make small bunches of the baby’s breath and wire them to a wooden floral pick.
Wrap the wire tightly around the bunch, then insert the pick into the styrofoam. You may want to place a dab of hot glue on the pick to ensure that it stays put. Use the correct glue for styrofoam.

@panterapeach: you could probably make them with those foam balls they sell in the craft store near the florals?
