I think it sounds really fun if that’s what your bride wants! I might suggest upping the food a tiny bit to make it seem even more special – takeout from a special restaurant she likes, or pita and hummus, cheese, wine, and fruit etc. They would all be a little more expensive but not too bad. But you know your bride best!

@kate02121:  I also second upping the food!  Otherwise, it sounds like a really fun party!

i think it would be fun. maybe include some coolers or wine with the pizza.  i would totally be into that.

if you really want to go retro with it, get some retro candy to snack on during the night.

As long as the bride doesn’t care I don’t see a problem. If you want to make it “adult” you could get a hotel room and some wine or champagne.

You can “up the snack food” with out making it all about booze.  And if you’re (at all) at home in the kitchen it doesn’t even have to be that pricey.  You can make some appetizers ahead of time and have them ready to eat (or pop in the oven).

While pizza sounds great, grown women tend to moderate their caloric intake a bit more than middle school girls, so having a salad or some veggies and dip to snack on might help fill up any one who sticks to one slice. ๐Ÿ˜‰

But I say go for it!  And don’t forget the at-home pedicures – because who doesn’t want blue & silver toenails?? (Or maybe I was the only one with such terrible school colors?)

I agree with upping the food and beverages just a bit to make things a little extra special. The whole night can be inspired by your 6th grade sleepovers but should still have some indications that this is a special event. Plus, will there be any women at all attending who weren’t involved in your childhood friendship? Introducing some other elements will help them not to feel so left out from this night of reminiscing.

Also, consider what kind of bachelorette accessories you can bring into it that fit your friend’s wishes. I didn’t want anything crude or vulgar either, but I definitely did want my bachelorette sash. ๐Ÿ™‚ You might also consider watching some wedding movies or romantic comedies to fit with the theme and honor your friend’s upcoming wedding.

I agree with PP’s if some of the guests drink you could get wine or coolers! ๐Ÿ™‚ You can get fun party games/board games as well!
