No idea what I’m doing for mine.  I think it’ll either be a surprise or a last minute thing.

Wine tasting is a fabulous idea and not lame at all – it was one of my top picks for bachelorette day festivities! (I, too, am an avid wine lover.) I don’t know about what’s available in your area, but here you can hire a party bus that is specific to wine country (that is, it stops at any/every winery you want within a ~10 mile radius) for a super reasonable flat fee, then drops you off at your hotel/home/whatever when you’re done. You can also add on extras, like food pairings or gourmet meals at some of the wineries that have cafes and restaurants on-site. Definitely research your options! And your bachelorette party most definitely doesn’t have to consist of strippers and penis-shaped straws if you don’t want it to. =]

For my own bachelorette party, my ladies ended up treating me to an amazing gourmet food tour that featured the most celebrated and famous local food and drink spots, a decked out penthouse suite at the top of a downtown Seattle hotel, and then a VIP night out on the town. And at my request, it was all penis and stripper-free!

My Maid/Matron of Honor has thrown a few ideas around. One idea was pole dancing which isn’t really my thing plus my sisters, who are my bridesmaids, are not wild and crazy at all. So we decided on something classy and fun.

We are going SALSA DANCING! afterwards we’re going out for dinner, martinis and margaritas!

The whole party is going to be Pin Up themed as well.

I would’ve loved a wine tour bachelorette – but I ruled it out as too expensive (the nearby ones cost >$100pp)

Kinda wish we did now because instead we ended up out clubbing which would’ve been fine but my mum is an embarrassing drunk, and mix that with strippers, and ugh… It was only this passed weekend I am sure I’ll get over it… Eventually!

Do what you wanna do… In the end I *think* the wine tour would have worked out cheaper for most than the boozy night we had and we wouldn’t have had such a wiped out Sunday following hehe
