On March 27th I will be having my bachelorette party and I need lots of advice…such as what to eat, what to drink, what to wear, what to buy my maids to wear on our night out on the town.
We are going out to eat at a brewery then we are going bar hopping there might be a male stripper (hilarious) I know there will be lots of drinking and I could possibly get sick so I dont know what the best drink would be to have and stick to all night that wouldn’t be the worst coming back up, same with food. It’s a weird post but I just had to ask the bees!

I think that you should try and eat before you go out. Usually drinking on an empty stomach makes you feel more drunk and sicker.

Definitely eat before you start drinking, so that you have something to help absorb the alcohol. Also, I can’t swear that there’s anything to this, but I always follow the “liquor then beer” hypothesis. Start the night w/ liquor/ cocktails, but switch to beer later on. Also, since 1 beer has the same amount of alcohol as 1 shot, drinking beer will definitely slow down your rate of alcohol consumption.

Have fun and yes grab a bite to eat and drink lots of water too that will help you out. I wore a light pink top because that’s the color of our weddings and my dress. I see lots of brides wear cute white tops too. Don’t worry about your girls the BMs will have items for other guests to wear and for you to wear too. I did handpainted wine glasses to gift to the hostess but that was all I brought. the girls took care of the rest

make sure you drink water between drinks. it’ll keep you going longer and help you feel better in the morning.

A coworker of mine wore a cute white dress and all the other girls wore LBDs it was SO cute!! I think I will probably do that! Im not a huge fan of the t-shirts that say stuff on them and I think every girl already own an LBD so it would be perfect!

Definitely eat before you go out and if you can eat again after drinking (drunk pizza is always good ;-)) It helps to absorb some of the alcohol to slow your absorption.
Also I like to drink vodka, water with bar-lime. It gives you water consumption with the alcohol and is low on calories 🙂 (Because you aren’t consuming mix calories)
And…. HAVE FUN!

I agree. Don’t forget to hydrate! And pace yourself, it’s no fun having a party you aren’t going to remember.

Okay, I’ve got a bit of different advice because of a Bachelorette party story I heard just today from a fellow teacher at my school. She was club hopping in Lake Tahoe with the bride and other bridesmaids and had a date rape drug slipped into her drink while dancing. She blacked out on an escalater, hit her head, and was taken to the ER which cost her $300. Apparently the whole group had been given free drinks by different guys throughout the evening, so they have no idea who did it. The only clue is 8 phone calls on her cell phone later that night by someone who she doesn’t know and she doesn’t remember giving her phone number to. So my advice to you is to BE CAREFUL!!!! Don’t accept drinks from strangers, don’t set down your drink, and look out for each other!

Congratulations! My bachelorette party is the same weekend. We’re doing a small girls trip to Vegas… just me and my bestest girls! I don’t now what all is planned but we’ll probably do some pre-partying before we leave, dinner, stripper/show, then off to the bars and clubs. I’m getting dressed up since we’re in vegas but if we were doing something in more local I’d probably still wear a dress or dressy top like if I were going to a club with heels.

have fun! i say stick to beer. if your gonna have any hard alcohol, just go slow. and if you take any shots, take one and back off of ALL alcohol for a little, cuz that buzz will catch you before you know it.
my best advice is to eat A LOT of food. like breads. and drink a bottle of water when your feeling drunk and then keep drinking! that always works for me =)
oh and dont get tooo full or else you will feel sick whether your drunk or not.
goodluck!! have fun!!

Avoid salty foods because that will make you thirsty.

I like to drink rum and diet coke and I always ask for it in a big glass so I get more pop. That means it takes longer to drink, and therefore I drink less 🙂
And I fifth, or sixth the suggestion that you eat before you start drinking. Preferably something greasy to soak up the liquor! And drink lots of water!!

If you are drinking cocktails/shots, stick to one kind of liquor – tequila, vodka, rum, whichever you find the most pleasing. Mixing them up (like in LI Iced Tea) = barf recipe.

Liquor before beer, never fear
beer before liquor, never sicker
Throw down some vitamins (e.g. b-complex) & make sure you’re fully hydrated b4 & after the night. Serious drinking requires serious preparation. Have fun!
