I just had my “suprise Bachelorette celebration” last weekend. I didn’t have any expectations especially after the dramatic disaster my bridal shower turned out to be. My MOH/ best friend told me after the bridal shower that she was sorry and there’s a long story behind everything that went wrong in the shower planning but no worries that my bachelorette weekend was going to amazing.
One of my bms picked me to take me to a secret location. When we arrived, I realised that we were at my MOH’s sister’s apt. At this point I was still excited for the surprise. I knocked on the door and was greeted by my MOH/best friend, her sister, and her friend who yelled surprise. I politely smiled but was deeply dissappointed inside and I’m pretty sure it probably showed on my face a little (don’t have much of a pokerface).
The plan for the evening was to watch a movie and eat pizza like a slumber party. Please don’t get me wrong, but I’m grateful for anything someone will do for me to make me feel special as a bride-to-be (there hasn’t been very much of that in the past 1.5 years). I think I was most dissapointed that this was a party for me but didn’t include any of my close friends or the rest of my bridesmaids. I was just really taken back that this is the party that my MOH/ best friend spent 15 months planning for me. According to my fsil/FI my party was so bare because my Maid/Matron of Honor waited to the last minute to try and plan a party. Asking the other bms for hundreds of dollars five days before the planned party weekend. To add insult to injury, she just picked up her dress less than 2 weeks out from my wedding.
I’m not feeling the love at all as we get closer to the date after 2 sloppy half planned bridal events….. What to do what to do?
