So my Maid/Matron of Honor is asking me to make a decision and I honestly don’t know what to pick.
There’s about 8 people (including meand my MOH) going to my bach party and we know we want to eventually go downtown and drink. Now here’s the issue, should we spend money on a party bus and just stop at one or two clubs but spend most of the time on the bus with our own (and probably cheaper) drinks, or just spend the night hopping from club to club which means cover charges and quite a bit of money on drinks.
The only downside that we see (so far) to the bus option is the lack of attention from strangers. By that I mean free drinks and other such attention. I don’t think they’re going to do a checklist or a scavenger hunt type of deal but I can’t decide what I want to do so opinions please! Anyone have any other down or upsides to either one that we didn’t think of?

@MrsRose: In past experiences when club hopping for a bachelorette party the group gets separated and a lot of the time isn’t even with the bride. My girls have rented us a party bus and we will be stopping at 2 bars for a short time but the majority will be spent on the bus.

Maybe it’s just me, but I would rather be out and about for my bachelorette party than on a bus. So I picked club hopping.

@lyns86stc: That’s what we’re kind of leaning towards but
@hotchildinthecity: this is kind of what I’m worried I’ll miss since it’s kind of the point of going out downtown for your bach party haha.

For as much as I loath party buses (I’m been on far too many that have left me with bruised tops of my feet!), I’d choose that over club hopping.
The bus should take you to a few bars/clubs if you ask the driver, so you’ll still be able to get some free drinks from strangers. Plus, you get to choose the music, bring drinks (so much less expensive than buying them in a bar!), and not have to worry about creepy drunk people you don’t know. 🙂

just a thought- if your girls are good they should be able to get you all in half price or free if you 1 make a glist ahead of time or 2 sweet talk the shit out of the bouncers.

What about getting table service at one club?

Well everytime I’ve been on a party bus, we still went to several different bars/clubs and it was so much fun!
Would it be possible to go to several clubs that don’t have a cover charge, that you get the best of both worlds?

Have you or your Maid/Matron of Honor called any bars or clubs about bachelorette party discounts or freebies? Maybe you can get free cover or VIP service @ a few if you’d rather go that route. I think a party bus would be a lot of fun though 🙂 Good luck!
