    @sallycakes:  Bottom line, a destnation bachelorette when you’re having a destnation wedding is inappropriate. I would inform the bridesmaids that the party AND the wedding and it’s just too much, so you would like everyone to contemplate planning a fun/awesome night in your current city OR something only involves one over-night.

    Like many other bees have suggested, I’d say explain to your sister that you’re in a tight financial situation and can’t make it. Maybe offer to meet her for a lunch or something instead. If you’re going would make things difficult for you financially and you wouldn’t be able to afford groceries for a few weeks, it wouldn’t be worth it. Your sister will understand.
