No, you’re definitely not obligated to go! Is she having an intimate family only or very small wedding? If not it’s a little bit rude, in my opinion, to invite you to the bachelorette party and not the wedding…

That would hurt my feelings – being invited to her bachelorett but not to her wedding… Without knowing any background my feelings would be hurt and I wouldn’t go to her bachelorette…..

EDIT = after reading your below…argh thats hard. You can’t be the only sorority sister invited to the bachelorette and not the wedding – have you chatted with your other sorority sisters about it?

I definitely think it’s a little weird to be invited to the bachelorette party and not the wedding, especially if she’s a friend of yours.  I definitely wouldn’t feel obligated to go if you don’t want to go!

Oh, I see that make sense, although I still find it a tiny bit rude 🙂

Anyways, go if you’d like to, but you’re definitely not obligated to.

That’s very unusual and definitely rude. Are there very many of your sorority sisters who are invited to the bachelorette but not the wedding? If so, then perhaps you might enjoy the sorority reunion, but in any case, don’t feel obligated to attend.

I think it is rude that she did that. Atleast it wasn’t to the shower though. I don’t think people are expected to bring gifts to the bacheloette party so I maybe that was her reason for thinking that would be ok. I wouldn’t go if you didn’t really want to and don’t feel bad at all!
