Well my bachelorette party was just this past weekend and it was awesome! I don’t know what you’re looking for exactly though. Is this going to be a whole weekend affair? One night only? About how many people?

For mine it was just the bridal party and the moms on Friday night. We went out for a really delicious dinner and then the BMs came back and hung out in a hotel in our pjs drinking champagne and just chatting/gossiping the rest of the night. It was awesome because not all my BMs knew each other and it was a great bonding time.

During the day Saturday, it was again just me and my BMs and we did one of those wine and painting classes. It was something I’d always wanted to do and each of our paintings looked similar, but different. Plus the girls all painted an extra canvas just for me with all their names on it as a souvenir of my party, which I thought was super sweet.

The second night was the big party with all my other friends invited too. We again did dinner (but at a less expensive place) and then had a table reserved at a bar/club in the city. It was the perfect atmosphere for my group because they had great drinks and good music to dance to. Also, since we had a table we were kind of separated from the rest of the craziness of the bar. We had our own area.

I honestly have no idea how much any of this cost because no one would let me pay for ANYTHING. But I know those wine and painting classes always have cheap groupons. I think the “expensive” dinner on Friday turned out to be around $75 per person.

I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man in my friend’s wedding last year. The Maid/Matron of Honor suggested zipling and half of the girls said not a chance in hell! haha, just something to keep in mind but definitely put the idea out there if it’s something you want to do! Maybe you have an adventurous crowd. πŸ™‚

I live 5 hours away from the wedding/where my best friends are. They are coming to stay with me for the last weekend of January for my bach. I don’t know exactly what we’re doing, but I suggested a wine and paint night, getting our nails done at this awesome spa near me, and brunch. One of my friends asked me if I like ice skating and I said heck yes. So we’ll be doing some kind of combo of that stuff and it’s all relatively inexpensive. Keep in mind we’re also in our 30s and the thought of going to a club makes us all cringe haha. πŸ™‚

For mine, we’re planning to meet up at my parents’ house in California for a weekend of rom-coms, wine, and beach days! It hopefully won’t be terribly expensive, especially if we do a lot of fun home-made meals. Two of my bridespeople are from out of town too, so I’d like to splurge on paying for their flights to make sure they can join us.

My tw favorite Bachelorette parties were:

My sister’s where we did a wine tour of Boston, dinner in the north end. My friend’s Bachelorette was kind of an all day thing. We found a small local spa and salon that would let us bring food and drink. All the girls brought snacks like fruit and veggie platters and things to graze on as well as champagne. Everyone decided what they wanted to have done and we all split a massage and manicure for the bride. Then we had dinner at a restaurant and went out to a bar after. A bit pricey but it was a great time.

Well my Fiance was just thinking of a theme park for his bachelor party. Just his groomsmen and best man maybe going to six flags or something. I might not have a bachelorette party just a bridal party. And have something similar to go to. πŸ™‚ the crowd aren’t really drinkers. So that wouldn’t be much fun at a bar haha. And maybe after that have a small dinner with all of us BMs and Groomsmen together with my Fiance and I. Later on. That’ll be awesome!! With my Maid/Matron of Honor (sis) and awesome wedding planner!! (Mom). πŸ’š

My girls are taking me to New Orleans for a long weekend trip. For the hotel stay, it is running about $150 or so per person, and they are paying for mine. On that Friday, we are going to all wear glitter/sequin dresses and go out on Bourbon St. During the day Saturday, everyone is kind of doing their own thing, shopping etc. Saturday evening is the lingerie shower. For Saturday night, we are wearing pink tops with black skinny jeans and heels to go out. On Sunday, we BRUNCH and then drive back to Tennessee!

LaurieW:  If you live in a warm climit area there is alot more adventures available for you. Maybe a girls fishing adventure on a local boat tour. Or a hot air ballon ride over the City with shopping and lunch. Just google tourist attractions in your area.

Or you can host a fun hiking adventure. Hire a male Stripper to pretend to be your tour guide. (Don’t tell the Bride) Have him flirt with her peridoically thru the trail. When you have found a secluded area in the trail have him do a surprise strip tease for her. Not totally nude cause you are in public. Haha Then have a nice picnic and wine. Girl talk time

I live in Canada our weather permits mostly indoor activities. If I was planning a party for a group of ladies over 30 including weight restrictions I would do either

*An outdoor wine tour with snow shoeing thru the grape vinyard and tour of the wine cellar, they offer this for $10.00 person Then a wine tasting dinner at an addtional cost.

* Spa day using wayspa packages from Costco (huge savings)

* Around us we have local Living Art Centres that features live theater at great pricing around $25.00 perperson. You can book seats for the theater, then go out for drinks and apps maybe even a dinner

* Paint and wine classes are always fun

* Find a local attraction that your Bride would love in our area we have a Castle tour, Great art centres, Butterfly coservatory, Botanical garden centre.

mightyduck17:  haha awee!! Don’t be! I think everyone’s bachelorette party will be great regardless of where it is πŸ˜€ as long as you have fun!! I agreed to go to a theme park because it’s been a long time since I’ve been to one…. Like maybe since I was 15? That was practically 10 years ago. It’ll bring back lots of memories. πŸ™‚

For mine my BM’s took me to NYC (we live on long island) if anyone watches Gossip Girl (we all love GG) – we stayed in Chuck Bass’s hotel, The Empire Hotel, we walked around the city in Central Park, went to Laduree for macaroon’s, ate at my fav italian restaurant and they took me to see Aladdin on broadway which is my favorite Disney movie. Then we walked around & shopped in Times Square til like 3am it was truly one of the best weekends of my life. So much fun. They didn’t let me pay for anything so I’m not sure exactly how much it was but I’m assuming they easily spent over $500 a girl.
