I am throwing a bachelorette party for my sister and need some ideas. We have been to the bars on 2nd street Harissburg a million times and she doesn’t want to go there. I was looking for something unique like a fun show or event. I’ve even heard of people hiring someone to do wine tastings or cooking classes in their homes. She does like to party though, so we’ll end up at a bar most likely. (We’re in Lancaster but I am open to Philly, Baltimore, or anywhere in between!)

when did you want to have it? theres all sorts of things you can do in the area…. just depends on the time of year.. also if there was a theme or something shed love to do..like a show ( even strip show- theres a few in lanc & philly)
you can start the evening with a cooking class, and wine then end it at a bar… or have a “mixologist” come in..my Fiance is a chef and he does a lot of cooking classes so that is def popular, and its nice for the women that dont drink to share in the day before the drinking started!
Im in lancaster as well, but i know my BMs are having my bacholorette party in philly and the bridal shower in lanc.

How many people? I’d go to Philly, and go to Tria at 13th and Spruce, and then head to Farmer’s Cabinet at 11th ish and Walnut. Those are my two absolute favorite places. They have great wine, cheese, beer, and mixed drinks.
And that’s what I’ll be doing for my bachelorette party! =)

@Dmarie23: What about like a spa day?

It’s not until Feb/March 2013 so I have time to plan. My sister lives out of town and is super busy though so I’m trying to get a head start on planning. It would probably be no more than 15 girls.
@shalynnmarie – Where does your Fiance have cooking classes? A mixologist/chef sounds pretty cool! I even thought about going to Pour. I’ve never been there and heard it’s nice. Haven;t lived in Lancaster long enough to really know what there is. I’m pretty close to downtown.

You could have a spa day at the Hershey Hotel…
Or go to DC to a drag show, they have them all the time at Apex and they are super tons of fun lol.
