Stay- We love staying at The Historic Inns of Annapolis. The location cannot be beat. The Marriot also has a great location, but it is expensive. The Westin is nice, but the location is meh and valuables have been known to mysteriously disappear from there.

Eat- Piccola Roma is a great dinner spot, with nice windows at the front for people watching. Kilwins has some seriouslt delicious candy and ice cream. Galway Bay Pub is good for lunch and Sunday brunch. Mr. LK swears by the cashel blue cheesesteak sandwich and I regularly crave a crisp hard cider on a warm day. 🙂 If you like Thai food, go to Lemongrass. mmmmmmmmmmmmm Nostalgia cupcakes is pretty tasty, or you can grab dessert in a glass at harry brownes. They make great dessert martinis.

Bars- We love to go to Harry Brownes for a pre and post-dinner cocktail. It’s pretty quiet there until around midnight. You should know that some Annapolis bars close at midnight, while others are open until about 1:30. So if you are at a midnight bar and it closes, just ask the bartenders where to go for a 2am bar. Harry Brownes is a 2am bar. Pussers is more of a younger, clubbier scene, if you like that kind of thing.

I haven’t lived in Annapolis for years, but I can second many of lovekiss’s recommendations above.  Also check out the Loew’s Annapolis Hotel.  Very nice…and they offer a shuttle around Annapolis for their patrons.  If you are looking for places with more of a “club” atmosphere, check out Acme, Armadillos, or O’Brien’s.
