Sooo, my Maid/Matron of Honor and I are getting married 2 months apart from each other this year (her in July and me in Sept.). We are sooo excited and having a blast planning. One of the things we just can not come to a decision on, is where to have our joint bachelorette party. We are trying to decide between Cancun or Vegas. We are planning on going June 24-27 and we estimate about 8-12 girls going. We love the warm weather, beach/pool (laying out and swim up bars), as well as partying hard at night!!! Our age group is about 25-28 years old.
Do any of you have any suggestions, advice, experience, reviews, etc.? If so, it would be extremely helpful. Have any of you been to Vegas or Cancun for your bachelorette parties? Thanks so much!

I went to Vegas for a friend’s bachelorette party. It was about $500 for the weekend. There were 5 of us. Way more affordable than Cancun and still just as much fun. More to do, in my opinion. You can change clubs, go to different restaurants, etc. Cancun is fun, but it can be tougher to navigate and the idea of leaving my resort in the evenings is not something I am comfortable doing, especially if drinking is involved.
Vegas is hotter than hell in August. We went in September but had a BLAST. a Ridiculous blast. It was so freakin’ fun. We ate out wherever WE wanted to eat out (aka not resort foods), went to bars, etc. We dressed our friend up and pranced her around the hotel, it was awesome. People came up to her all night and bought her drinks or congratulated her (ppl were SO nice about it!) and some guys taught her to play craps, which was a lot of fun since none of us play card games. We stayed at Bally’s, lounged at the pool all day, and bummed around. Those guys will come around with freebie tickets for the clubs, too. You just tell them which one you want to go, negotiate for no door entry, try to get a free drink card, tell them it’s a bachelorette party, and you’re good!
Oh and you can get eggs and potatoes at 3am should you desire them, lol =].

We went to Cancun for my friend’s bachelorette. It was awesome! We did an all-inclusive and sat around and drank all day then went to clubs at night. It was very laid back with a great atmosphere! I would really recommend it over Vegas unless you are tight on money. Vegas is fun but I thought Cancun was way better.

I voted Las Vegas just because I think that if I was attending that is where I would rather go.
Cancun IS fun though 🙂
either sounds like a blast to me!

I love the idea of an all-inclusive in Cancun also! Find some place with a spa in cancun and get on with the girl’s day things…how relaxing!!

Cancun is fun but like 9 out of 10 people I know (including all 4 who were with me when I went) who have gone there have gotten sick from the water – turns out it will make you sick even if you don’t actually drink tap water. Blech.

oooh these are 2 of my top choices right now… ive been keeping an eye on prices…
the idea of all-inclusive in cancun sounds great to me because I wont have that added stress of people not wanting to eat out some place expensive or get a drink by the pool.. its just an upfront fee. but i also dont want to have to have my friends pay soo much.. i think we will end up doing vegas but i keep looking up cancun or even jamaica and DR.

I vote Vegas. You can roam around to different hotels/pools and it always easy to get free drinks in Vegas, particularly with a huge group of girls. A group of my friends go every year and rent a huge suite and put everyone in it- try Palms Place, we stayed there last year in May for 3 nights and I think the hotel was only $200/person and then we just met these Canadians who bought all our drinks at the pool all three days. Nice and cheap. 🙂
Groups of girls can easily get in free to clubs; just stand there looking hot and some club promoter will walk you in the door and probably give you free drinks 🙂

VEGAS… You don’t want to go somewhere when you have to worry about being safe do you??
Vegas is always FUN and so much to do…

My best friend and I are also have a joint bachelorette party in Vegas since we’re getting married 1 month apart. Since you’re both the bride and Maid/Matron of Honor how are you deciding to split up duties? How are the girls paying for it as well?
