Sooo my amazingly wonderful Maid/Matron of Honor came up with the idea for us to take a weekend trip to Charleston for my bachelorette party. I am soo excited to get out of FL for a little trip with all of my wonderful friends! My dilemna is that we don’t really know of what to do while we’re there. We were thinking of taking one day to just walk around downtown and enjoy the history and then maybe go bar hopping later that night. My Maid/Matron of Honor mention that maybe we could go to a winery if there is one close and possibly even white water rafting if it’s available nearby.
Are there any bees in the Charleston area that may have some suggestions on some “must see/do” things while we are there??

Get a mani/pedi at The Charleston Hotel! It’s expensive, but SOOOO worth it!

Charleston is very much a “historic / cultural” Destination City… not a place I think of when I think PARTY TOWN for a Bachelorette
My choice for that would have been a bit farther north… to Myrtle Beach… when its many Hotels, Restaurants, Clubs & Bars (and Beach, and Entertainment etc)
If you are set on Charleston, be sure and check out any (or all) of the following…
Charleston City Market – Old Slave Market – Daughters of the Confederacy Museum – Fort Sumter – Charleston Museum (oldest in the USA) – Historic House Tours – and a buggy ride around the historic district.
Also, out in Mount Pleasant, is where you’ll find one of the most amazing collections of Plantation Houses in the USA…
There are good eats in Charleston (lots of highend Restaurants) but many are pricey !! An inexpensive favourite for us for Low Country southern food is Barbara Jeans
Hope this is helpful,
PS… If you want to combine Historic and also a Party Atmosphere… you might want to take a look Savannah, Georgia which is a little further south. I have woke up with many a good hangover and great memories from a Night in Savannah !! LOL (One of my favourite cities in all of the USA)

Good shopping, really interesting historical sight-seeing.
Maybe rent a beach house nearby?
There is great night-life, but not open all night types of places. Eat at cru cafe–so delicious but very tiny. See if they’ll reserve a table for you.

My bachelorette is going to be in Charleston as well! I’m soooo psyched.
One of my bridesmaid’s has a beach house about 30 minutes outside of Charleston on Kiawah Island. We are going to stay there and do two trips into Charleston. I told them one of the things on my “must do” list is a ghost tour! Haha. There are a ton of great restaurants and bars that can make for a fun night out… plus… you can spend the days shopping and absorbing all of that Charleston charm!
When are you going? I noticed that your wedding is the week after mine and realized we may even be there at the same time! We are heading up on Thursday, September 14 and leaving on Sunday.

Have you considered Savannah? It is very similar to Charleston in history and architecture but it is closer to Orlando and the perfect setting for a bachelorette party because there are so many bars within walking distance AND you can carry your drinks around with you outside (like new orleans).
I went on a haunted hearse ghost tour to start off my bachelorette night and we had alot of fun. We brought drinks on the hearse and it was fun to laugh and see creepy stuff before we went “out” for the night.
