- Wedding: June 2012
This is my first time posting but I feel I must share his story with others bees. (please excuse typos as I’m writing on my phone)
I decided to plan my bachelorette party since my wedding is oh, 5 weeks away! My BMs had just thrown me my shower and seemed and little taxed from the task and one suggested I look into some places and get back to them.
Months ago when talking to my Maid/Matron of Honor I had suggested that a night in Atlantic City might be rather nice (a chance to get out of Nyc and relax by the pool, go to the spa, and party a little). So my Fiance suggested that I look into a brand new hotel that’s having a special preview package the weekend we are planning on going. You get a wine tasting, $30 credit to any of their restaurants, entrance to the spa (which is supposed to be amazing) and then tickets to the burlesque show. So Monday night we call the hotel and geI the prices. It was a little steep and I knew that one of the girls is on a budget so I was like I have to think about it. I spent 2 days trying to think of other options but nothing was striking a cord with me so I checked with the girls yesterday and 2 were totally down for the resort (thers only 3 in total) so I figured what the hell I’ll just cover the cost of the one girl. My Fiance calls the place to book the rooms and they are completely sold out!
So I was telling a friend that frequents AC the story and she suggested another place that is kind of mod and boutiquey and much more affordable, since there’s only 4 of us we can split the cost of a room with 2 queens. I send the info to the girls and they are totally cool with it and love the price. So I’m feeling good and when I get home from work I show my Fiance my fantastic find and he was like that’s nice but look at this other place. So then I was like, “hmm let me think about it and book one when we get back from dinner”. We met some friends for dinner and I decide to go with the boutiquey hotel (it has 2 pools, one with a bar, which is ultimately what I want to do). I get back, go to thecomputer to book the room and it’s not available!
Of course I start freaking the hell out. Like why didn’t I just book it as soon as everyone said ok? Clearly I did not learn from the event earlier in the week. The hotel my Fiance suggested had a room with two queens still available, while the one I liked only had king rooms (more money since we’d have to get 2 rooms). So at 11 last night I was once again debating between the two hotels. I finally said screw it and booked the one I liked even though it now costs a little more.
Sorry for the long post but I figured the story is too ridiculous to not share.
