I like the shape and sleeves but not the bead work

It’s a lovely dress, but not one I’d risk ordering sight unseen/without trying on.

It looks beautiful and like everyone has noted, it’s your dress, not hers.

Pedantic note: aren’t flapper dresses like short/knee-length and A-line?

Why does her opinion matter that much? If you love it she should too!

Imagine that your friend is the one getting married. And that she finds a dress she absolutely adores. It’s her dream dress, and you know it is. Would you think about telling her, “I don’t like the sleeves, and it doesn’t even look like a wedding dress.”

No? You wouldn’t? Okay, so don’t let your friend do that to you. Stop making it matter what she thinks. Because seriously, if someone was so invested in my wedding dress, I would think that they need to get a life. I can’t imagine thinking about what my friend’s wedding dress looks like for more than maybe an hour because it’s not my dress, not my wedding.

Your wedding, your dress, your feelings and opinion that ultimately matters.

The dress is beautiful and is a very specific style that hapens to be on trend right now. If you like it I would have to assume that you are drawn to this stlye which is a matter of taste. You have to go for what your vision is and how you want to look when you see your husband for the first time. Not everyone is meant to wear a sweat heart strapless ballgown (although they are beautiful). DO your thang girl and if its not “the one” shop around a liitle more maybe you can find something with a vintage feel that seems a little mre bridal to her but Ultimatly you have to love it.

I personally do not love it.  BUT it is YOUR wedding.  You should buy what you want.  I think the bigger issue is the not being able to try it on before you buy it though.

Key word for me was ‘another ‘ . Stop  submitting your choice for veto dear OP. And as for her being always right , well  she  wasn’t right on what a flapper dress is,  as  pp’s have pointed out !

Totally thought this was about the dress SHE, the bridesmaid, will be wearing. its your dress! F her, lol. Just keep in mind that it’s notma typical or traditional dress so it’s not going to be received well by the majority.
