There are a lot of suggestions being given on this thread.  I’m sure you’ll find them helpful.  :o)

In general, though, I’ve noticed that upholstery fabric tends to be wider on the bolt (about 56") whereas regular all-purpose fabric sold on a bolt tends to been narrower (about 44").  The fabic in Lena Corwin’s photo is from marimekko and you can find it here.  From looking at the original pattern and its width, I’m quite certian that she pieced hers together.

There’s also a thread in the Martha Stewart Wedding site about making your own photo booth and backdrop too.

Wow, that fabric from marimekko is expensive (but very very cute too).

I love that idea!

btw – marimekko sells sheets too.  maybe a king size flat sheet would work?

ikea and crate and barrel also sell marimekko textiles.

for those using a backdrop, are you staging an actual pop-up portrait booth with your photographer? or are you having the backdrop up just for fun for guests to use with their own cameras?  where do you guys plan on using it?  cocktail hour? inside the reception?

sorry for the 20 questions, i just love the look, but dont know how to execute it…
